Videos: About Cheap Chinese Paging Systems
Learning all about sometimes illegal or dangerous Chinese paging systems
Here we feature educational videos that we have made to show some of the problems that you can experience from buying either really cheap Chinese or Far East paging equipment or other issues that are common in the paging industry even from some UK suppliers. Most of the eventual customers we talk to are really great in their own business sector and have long experience; but unfortunately when buying communications equipment customers can end up with serious problems. These general problems are usually through a lack of knowledge of exactly what to look for when in the market for communications products.
These videos are here to help to educate so that when looking for a paging system customers know exactly what they are considering buying; they can move forward with their company by making informed decisions about communications purchases.
Topics include buying from some online companies and the pitfalls customers can fall in to, buying paging systems that are very low cost and what to expect from them, and lastly a video showing the questions about approvals and safety issues.
In fact, recently we purchased a system
ourselves just to check whether the paging system on offer was
completely safe and legal. It was exactly as we expected. We bought
it from eBay, but the exact same system was available on Amazon too!
Following communications with the seller (a Chinese based supplier but with a supposed UK company and address) we requested CE, RoHS and other certification documents from the supplier. We were completely stone walled and never received any answers to our concerns. It remains highly concerning that these types of companies continue to supply the United Kingdom and other countries while completely flouting the certification and safety standards that products need to meet. Needless to say the products and information has been passed to the authorities for further investigation.
Approvals are most often checked further by the Trading Standards office for your area and if you have bought clearly items that do not meet either the certification standards or the safety standards then we urge you to contact them and report the matter for further investigation. Using equipment that is out of specification like the one we bought can cause fires (the power supply was particularly concerning), shock or other injury and could leave your company open to legal problems if employees get hurt. It makes sense to buy properly approved products with great warranty.
We sincerely hope that these videos do help you with assessing any potential purchase of any paging system including ours, but in our case we are completely confident that we will meet and exceed your expectations.
